January: Remember: Diligence

There are many verses in scripture that teach the Christ-like attribute of diligence. We've selected something the Savior said in the Doctrine and Covenants to help us remember the things we've learned this month, and to motivate us to apply those things in our lives.

Doctrine & Covenants 64: 33-34
"Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great. Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind.”

In this Mormon Message Elder Ballard teaches that the flecks of gold represent small acts of service. But we can also apply the same symbolism to those "needful" things in our lives. (Click here to view in a new window)
